Kevin Du is a Chinese-American pianist, keyboardist, and composer based in New York City. Drawing from a diverse musical background spanning classical, jazz, and American popular music, he is a versatile artist committed to musical authenticity and honest expression.
Born in Chicago and raised in Shanghai, Kevin has devoted himself to his craft from an early age. As a young musician in China, he sought out every opportunity to perform––both as a soloist and a sideman––and to develop his voice as a composer. In 2021, he attended Berklee College of Music majoring in Jazz Composition, mentored by Kenny Werner, Miguel Zenón, Tia Fuller, Vadim Neselovskyi, and Ayn Inserto. During his time at Berklee, he performed in a wide range of ensembles and styles, appearing at venues including the Berklee Performance Center, MGM Music Hall, and City Winery.
After graduating from Berklee in 2024, Kevin moved to New York City to pursue his master’s degree in Jazz Studies at New York University, where he played with the NYU Wayne Shorter Ensemble under the direction of saxophonist and composer Dave Pietro. With the group, Kevin performed at the Blue Note, Dizzy's Club at Jazz at Lincoln Center, and the 2025 Panama Jazz Festival. He has been studying with Ari Hoenig, Michael Wolff, Rich Shemaria, and Billy Drewes, whom Kevin also recorded with and features on his upcoming debut album.

Kevin currently leads the Kevin Du Trio, performing original music at venues around New York City such as Nublu, FirstLive, and The Delancey. His trio is preparing its debut album for release in the upcoming year, and Kevin is additionally working on a solo debut album set for release in May 2026.
